Helping the Homeless Lane County Mission Statement

  Our mission is to assist Lane County, OR non-profits that serve literally homeless persons of Lane County by providing them with premade hygiene kits to provide for their clients. We believe that each person deserves the opportunity to feel, and be, clean and hygienic. By providing these hygiene kits for direct service staff to deliver to those who need it we hope to see a positive impact not only on the individual but also on the community.

Our goal of helping people with hygiene and sanitation focuses on each level of the human services spectrum. At a personal or micro level, we plan on providing help with hygienic kits and other sanitation needs. At the mezzo level, we will provide information and resources relating to community service providers and places to safely practice personal care. At the macro level, we hope to engage the literally homeless in the community discussion on how best to provide sanitation services to them. After all, only the literally homeless would best know what they need and want.

HLTHLC hopes to receive the support of the community to further our Mission. To do this we will foster a strong relationship with our neighborhood partners and the unhoused citizens of Lane County. By giving this aid, we hope to show that each person deserves the opportunity to take proper care of themselves. No person should have to go without because of their personal disadvantage or lack of income. We believe these values are the same as those of Lane Community residents and governments.
